New Beginnings Family Academy Charter School Science Garden

The creation of this garden had been one of many improvements to the adaptive re-use of this former factory building into an engaging charter school in Bridgeport, CT.  NBFA since 2005 on various renovation projects including classrooms, library, science and technology labs and cafeteria facilities. 

As my last project before I relocated  to Savannah, GA I was happy to be the designer and volunteer project coordinator for the new science garden and playground which was built in an adjacent paved school parking lot.  Over 40 volunteers created this new 2000 sf garden for less than $5000 all inclusive in two days.
